Phang Nga Bay
Phang Nga Bay is a 400 km² bay of limestone cliffs, islets, caves and deep mangroves. Many boat tours sail upon its shallow waters, most tours still being carried by traditional long-tail boats. Iconic places such as the world-famous James Bond Isand or Koh Panyee village are located within the bay.
Outdoor activities
Khao Lak is a coastal community with numerous unspoiled and quiet beaches. The turquoise, warmish water of the Andaman Sea is great for a bath or a swim. The sandy shores make for a pleasant run or hike.
Many places around Khao Lak offer eco-friendly activities. Elephant or turtle sanctuaries, waterfalls, rafting spots and more can be found nearby.
Khao Lak is the departure point of many trips and tours to the Similan and Surin islands. These small archipelagos are famous for their marine wildlife, pristine-white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. They are world-renowned spots for scuba diving.

Khao Lak is home to weekly local markets. They are great places to grab fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, seafood, as well as to have a taste of local street food ! Clothes, souvenirs and more can also be found there.
